~ Our charities ~
If you know our story, then you know that Les Bisous de Lou is more than just a brand for baby products. As a brand, we want to mean something to people who are facing an extra challenge in life.
In our case, this is for children with disabilities, their parents and those close to them. That's why at Les Bisous De Lou, €1 per product sold goes to charity.
We have chosen to pick 1 charity per country where we sell. This way, as a buyer, you are "closer" to your country's charity.
Below is a list of the charities we are already working with.
Belgium
In Belgium, we are starting Fiola vzw! It is the non-profit organization that, at the news of Lou, assisted us in starting this intense story.
Fiola stands for expertise and experience in outpatient and mobile support to infants, children, adolescents and adults with (suspected) disabilities and their networks.
Fiola vzw offers:
- individual support
- personal assistance
- supported employment
- groepswerking
In short: a lot of welcome help when dealing with (childhood) disability!
Therefore, it seemed only natural to us to include Fiola at the start of Les Bisous De Lou.

The Netherlands
In the Netherlands, we enter into our first collaboration with De Stichting het Gehandicapt Kind. This foundation's mission is as follows:
A society where every child has friends and no handicapped child has to play alone - that is the ideal of Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind. Most children learn to live with their disability. Their biggest handicap is that they cannot participate and therefore feel lonely. With the support of donors and volunteers, Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind helps to make playgrounds, sports clubs and schools accessible. So that children with and without disabilities can meet, play together and make friends. With the goal of: no child without friends!

Frankrijk
Voor Frankrijk werken we samen met Sourire d’Enfant France:
“Ons doel is het helpen en ondersteunen, financieel of materieel, van educatieve activiteiten voor kinderen. In het bijzonder kinderen die lijden aan ziekten of lichamelijke of geestelijke handicaps, hetzij direct met gezinnen, pediatrische diensten.”
